WHY THIS BOOK
A rich, emotional tale of belonging
When Aman loses his high-flying job and closest friend, his world unravels. Struggling with identity, family, and his Nepalese heritage, he finds purpose in organising his niece’s grand Buddhist wedding—rediscovering belonging.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
K. Varia
Varia is a Chartered Engineer and works with large organisations, guiding them through the complexities of change.
In 2013 he started doing improv classes and found his route to creativity.
He began writing Fusion of Reality at the end of 2019, driven by a question that had long stayed with him: why do contradictions so often emerge between who we are at work, who we are at home, and the emotional tensions in between?
Over five years, he honed the craft of fiction writing while drawing from his professional experiences, personal reflections, and everyday interactions. The result is a novel that explores not only modern life, but also the deeper undercurrents of heritage, loss, and reconnection.

“From an Asian perspective, the protagonist Aman’s journey is a deeply relatable one – a story about the importance of familial pride and traditions, and the weight of cultural expectations in one’s life.”

“Aman’s journey from excessive stress and depression to tranquillity and clarity is powerfully told – a reconnection with heritage, family, and meaningful relationships to help navigate the pressures of modern life.”
